![]() I am currently waiting for the full release before truly diving in. ![]() While still in early access the high number of positive reviews show that Farthest Frontier is shaping up to be quite a well executed city builder in its own right. I think most people would prefer Anno 1800 over 1404 today but I still had fun with it. Since then I have gone on to play most of the Anno series and it remains a staple to this day. This means games that are more RTS or TBS are okay such as the Civilization or Total War games, or even something as far as Age of Empires.Īnno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery) was one of the first true "city builder" games I was introduced to. ![]() Thus, I turn to you Era and ask you to recommend 1, 2, 3, or even 5 of your favorites.ĭo note that I am keeping the "city builder" genre as WIDE as possible as I have found that I like lots of elements that are shared amongst 'similar' games in that regard. I have had the (dis?)pleasure of only experiencing a few though despite enjoying them so much. I have found that as I get older and my time for gaming usually results in just having 1-2 hours at most when winding down for the evening I have (re)found a genre that brings me nothing but extreme pleasure along with hits of dopamine.
